Senior Accounting Manager

The role
SPG is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to manage the company’s financial operations and support its continued growth. The role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, compliance, and day-to-day accounting activities while working closely with senior management.
What you'll do
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting and tax requirements.
- Support management with financial analysis and business planning.
- Coordinate with auditors, accountants, banks, and external stakeholders.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- Relevant accounting or finance qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation requirements.
- Excellent analytical and financial management skills.
- Experience with accounting software and financial reporting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice to have
- CPA or CA qualification.
- Experience working within a technology or cybersecurity company.
- Experience with Australian SMEs or professional services businesses.
- Experience with financial systems such as Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.
